Pushing Forward in Seasons of Change

Lately my department has been going through a lot of change—
people being let go, roles shifting, structures moving around.
Some days, I wake up not fully knowing what my role will look like.
And in those moments, it would be easy to sit back and wait for direction.
But I’ve learned: when things feel unclear, it’s actually an invitation.
👉 An invitation to shape your role.
👉 To clean up what others don’t have bandwidth for.
👉 To spot gaps and fill them.
👉 To bring fresh ideas to the table.
I’ve started asking myself: “What needs to be done?” instead of “What should I be doing?”
Here’s the truth: you won’t always get it right.
You might not land exactly where leaders wanted—
especially when their expectations aren’t clear.
But that’s not failure. That’s initiative.
That’s your chance to shine.
Because even if every idea doesn’t stick, the courage to move forward speaks volumes.
Change is rarely easy. But it’s always a proving ground—
a chance to show resilience, creativity, and leadership without waiting for permission.
Clarity may come later.
Your impact can start now.
